PLAZA update; Save-A-Lot Open for Business

A Stakeholder Update on the Paulsboro Plaza Redevelopment Project

The New Save-A-Lot Food Store at Paulsboro Plaza opened Wednesday, July 26 at 8am!

Come over to support this new retail grocery store! It is the first phase of the Plaza’s redevelopment project.

The local Save-A-Lot Food Store franchise is owned by Mr. & Mrs. Bob and Lora Newton and Son, Robert Jr. The store is bringing more than 20 new jobs to Paulsboro. The store is bringing a modern, brand-name shopping experience within walking distance for most residents of Paulsboro.

The Newtons appreciate the enthusiastic support of Mayor Gary C. Stevenson and State General Assemblyman John J. Burzichelli, of the Citizens of Paulsboro and of various local and state authorities.

The Plaza’s Other Retail Storefronts will next include space for The Mailbox Store. And preliminary discussions for a new Dollar Tree Store are underway. There will also be a business services and support facility called The Paulsboro Business Center.  Local businesses can access the services, facilities and advanced business technologies at the business center. Nino Gervasi’s Ristorante Italiano and the Golden Garden Chinese Restaurant remain with Save-A-Lot and are open for business as always at 545 W. Broad Street in Paulsboro NJ.

The Paulsboro Plaza Redevelopment Project would like to thank the following stakeholders and interested parties: Save-A-Lot and Super Value Supermarkets – Fulton Bank – The Paulsboro Chamber of Commerce – The Borough Council of Paulsboro – The Paulsboro Land Use Board – The Gloucester County Department of Economic Development – The Gloucester County One Stop – Bancroft Construction Company – Larry C.
